One of the first few restaurants that I have tried upon touching down in US is Five Guys. While shopping around in Lawrence Park Shopping Center, this ordinary-looking restaurant caught my attention with their banners reading “Best $5 Burger One Can Eat”, “Willy Wonkas of Burgercraft”, “Great Burger”, “Voted Best Burger in Philly”, and the list goes on.
And more recently, I have also learnt that Five Guys is actually one of President Obama’s favourite fast food chain!!
Famous for their 100% fresh hand-pressed beef patties that are free from preservatives and fillers, I decided to try their Bacon Burger with Mayo, Lettuce and Tomatoes as toppings.
Obviously, you can also add everything if you like. Its just like Subway, but for burgers!!
Taste-wise, its superb!! Especially with 750 branches all over America, I suppose those awards and reviews (shown on the banner) can’t go wrong. The only down side though, was their presentation. Maybe they need to re-look into how to better present a crumpled piece of aluminium!!
