On the last Saturday of November, some families have the tradition of setting up the Christmas Tree as a starting sign for the festive seasons. So, when Thidarat and Paul invited us for their Christmas Tree Decoration Dinner, we were delighted to be able to join in their family tradition, ...
… where our evening started off with a Tapas Platter.
Then, while we were decorating the Christmas Tree, …
… Thidarat cooked us a feast that easily beats any Thai restaurant out there.
Among her specialities include the Sweet Chilli Egg …
… Lemongrass Stir Fried with Pork …
… Sweet and Sour Chicken …
… Papaya Salad …
… Stewed Beef …
… Vermicelli Prawns …
… and Organic Mixed Vegetables (from her little vegetable patch in the backyard).
After finishing the mains, the family tradition continued with the hanging of individual ornaments by everyone present, …
… as a finishing touch to the Christmas Tree. Of course, one could also make a wish after hanging their ornaments.
Last but not the least, the placement of the Star of Bethlehem at the top of the Christmas Tree.
With the completion of the decoration, Thidarat then appeared with a Fruit Platter …
… Croissant and Lemon Custard …
… and Chocolate Cookies for dessert.
Special thanks to Thidarat and Paul for having us. Glad that we could be part of this special family tradition. :)
