AU2010 - Chefs Gallery

A new addition to Sydney’s list of Chinese restaurants, the first impression as we entered Chefs Gallery was, are those artefacts real?

Boasting a contemporary interior with traditional Chinese artefacts, on one side, it did look as though we just entered an art gallery or museum.

On the other side, a huge glass window serves as a viewing deck, where guests get to observe the actions taking place in the open kitchen.

Offering a selection of signature dishes from appetizers to mains and desserts, we decided to try their Golden Chicken, a lightly crumbed chicken fillet that is crispy, tender and moist …

… and the Pork Floss Roti, which is basically roti canai with shallots and pork floss, for entree.

Then came the steamed prawn dumplings …

… and Three Egg Fried Rice, consisting of chicken egg, salted duck egg and century egg, for mains.

Lastly, we had the cute sesame ‘piggy face’ buns for dessert.

And in case if you are wondering if its Chef’s Gallery or Chefs Gallery, the correct version is the one without the apostrophe (according to their website, sign boards and menu).
