AU2010 - Caveau

For the past consecutive 6 years, Caveau has been awarded a Hat by the annual SMH Good Food Guide, …

 

 

… making them the only hatted fine dining restaurant on NSW's South Coast.

 

 

Renowned for their delectable food, extensive wine menu and impeccable service, we decided to check out the place with a three course dinner. First up was their complimentary potato soup and bread.

 

 

Then came the seared scallop with chicken wings …

 

 

… and the herb crusted loin and tartare of kingfish with mudcrab …

 

 

… for entree. Moving on, our mains, the pan-fried Murray cod …

 

 

… and rockfish and beef with pan fried potatoes …

 

 

… were then served. Lastly, instead of just serving our dessert order of green apple sorbet …

 

 

… and strawberry sorbet and macadamia financier, …

 

 

… we were first served the yummy and complimentary lychee lemon meringue with biscuit crumbs.

 

 

As for drinks, we had the Cosmopolitan and French Fry.

 

 

Now that I have tried their three course menu, hopefully, I will have the chance to be back again soon for their seven course degustation menu!!

ya.. the desserts were superb. I wish they have a desserts only degustation menu next time.. :)
