AU2010 - Fontana

You don’t have to travel far to see the Manneken-Pis (this is a modified version holding a flower?!?), …

… but to see it in an Italian restaurant, instead of a Belgian restaurant, could sound a little bit weird. Anyway, in Fontana Italian Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge, …

… they also have a whole selection of other statues …

… and paintings …

… which added a classic and classy feel to the restaurant.

During Stephanie’s visit to Wollongong, we decided to try out Fontana, by ordering their Marinara …

… Beef Lasagne …

… Chicken Caesar Salad …

… and Risotto.

I suppose the funniest conversation over dinner was how the Risotto looks like “yat pek si” (Cantonese). Although looked gross, it actually turned out tasting quite good. Other than the Beef Lasagne that tasted so-so and the chicken strips in the salad that were a bit harden, I think the chefs did a great job, especially with the Marinara and Risotto (strongly recommended).

We will definitely we back again to try out their other specialties.  :)
