Located along the renowned tourist belt of Gurney Drive, we chose to stay at The Gurney Resort Hotel and Residences during our visit to Penang for our convenient stroll along the beachfront, food sampling and shopping.
The rooms may be dated, but what fascinated us the most was its “vertical” resort concept, where they managed to cram all the resort facilities into a single block of building.
Known as the Recreation Park, resort facilities on offer included an indoor archery range …
… indoor water park with an infinity pool …
… gym …
… Kid’s club …
… beach soccer and netball ...
… and a whole range of other activities.
Not too bad for a 4-star entertainment and family hotel.
