AU2010 - Manjit’s

When asking for recommendation on any Indian restaurants around Wollongong, Manjit’s could easily be the answer provided.

Considered one of the premium diners, …

… the cheapest dish at Manjit’s costs around $15.90 for a very small portion. In terms of Australian standards, it is probably half or even just a quarter of the standard serving.

During our visit, we decided to try their Tandoori Chicken …

… Chicken Tikka Malai …

… Beef Vindaloo Very Hot (in actual fact, it was extremely hot and spicy!!!) …

… and Lamb Korma ‘Zaffar Shahi’ (claimed to be a King’s favourite) …

… served with Basmati Rice …

… and Garlic Naan bread.

We were also served a small platter of papadums as our complimentary entree.

As for drinks, the Mango Lassi, a popular and traditional yoghurt-based drink, is something not to be missed!!

Overall, we reckon that the chefs did a great job with our meal, although the Tandoori could be slightly improved as it was too dry!!
