AU2010 - Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

For a relaxing weekend getaway in the city, we decided to check out the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

Stunningly situated in the historic The Rocks district, Four Seasons offers dramatic harbour front views.

During our stay, we were glad to be booked into the Opera View room, …

… located high on the 28th floor.

As we enter the room, …

… we realised that something seems to be hidden (or rather neatly placed) in cabinets and boxes. So, to cure our curiosity, there goes our treasure hunt. First up, the minibar cabinet ...

… with a built-in fridge on the left and other utensils and snacks on the right. As for the wooden box above the minibar, ...

… it turned out to be a whole box of tea, coffee and sugar. Lastly, opening up another wooden box on the study desk …

… revealed a range of stationaries, including an international power adapter and LAN cable (something we don’t usually get in other hotels). In addition to the superb views from the room, …

… we also learnt that Four Seasons actually hosts Sydney’s largest heated outdoor swimming pool.

And after spending a day out, we were greeted by their turn down service, where the lights were dimmed and blinds were drawn, with jazz music playing softly in the background. Ice cubes for our water were also prepared …

… and a breakfast menu, as well as our laundry bags were ready on the bed.

The most unexpected though, was they actually folded my jacket that was lying on the bed.

I guess, it was all these little details and luxuries that made our stay a pleasant one.
