AU2009 - Shanghai Tang

After attending the PMA Australia Imaging Technology Show, we decided to grab some snacks at the Shanghai Tang restaurant as it was still quite early for dinner.

The Shanghai Tang Restaurant, located on the Mezzanine Level of BreakFree on George, Sydney, introduces modern Shanghai cuisine known as “Crossover” to the Chinese and Western food lovers, by offering a selection of over 60 dishes.

Interestingly, the Chinese words in their logo emphasizes on the Xiao Long Bao and La Mien (noodles). In addition, according to BreakFree’s website, some of the chef’s recommendation include Sweet and Sour Caramelized Pork Spare Ribs, Shanghai Xiao Long Bao with Crab Meat, Pan-fried Buns filled with Pork, Pumpkin Cake, Braised Beef with Shanghai Noodles Soup, and lastly, Hot and Spicy Tan-Tan Noodles. So, I guess the Xiao Long Bao and the Noodles are a must try.

But since we were only here for snacks, we decided to give their Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, …

… pan-fried dumplings, …

… and soya milk a try.

Generally, I would say that the food was good, but a bit pricey for the quantity that was served.
