Possibly one of the best restaurants in Hat Yai, Gan Ying is always packed with the locals. So, it is best to avoid the peak lunch and dinner hours, if possible.
Instead of a menu with just words and pricing, I actually liked the way their menu is presented, business card-sized Polaroid images with some English words and prices. The only thing that makes me wonder is the double pricing. Not exactly sure which price we paid, but hopefully it was the lower one.
Among the dishes that we ordered for lunch included the Kerabu, …
… Seafood Tom Yum, …
… Teo Chew-Styled Steam Fish, …
… Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts, …
… Petai with Sambal Prawns, …
… Crab in Curry Powder, …
… and our favourite, Goong Che Nam Pla.
Although the portions were quite small, the dishes were definitely Hat Yai’s Chinese and Thai fusion at its best!!

Hi,
May I kindly know the address of this Gan Ying restaurant?
Thanks.
Unfortunately, I do not have the address. Gan Ying is about 3 blocks away from Lee Garden Plaza. Since it is quite famous, just hop on the Tuk Tuks and they will get you there in no time.
50/3, Kimpradit Road
Hatyai. Walkable from Lee Garden Plaza or Odeon Shopping.
