AU2007 - Sexpo

Held at the Hordern Pavillion and Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park, Sydney, Sexpo - Sexuality and Lifestyle Exhibition is a four-day public event looking at all aspects of adult entertainment, sexuality, and adult lifestyles. The aim of the exhibition is to allow adults to access frank and accurate information on all such matters, all in one convenient location. I guess the mascot of the event is the penis-saurus, breast-saurus and the multi-penile man (these names were just made up by me for fun).

The mascots

Although having an indicative event name, the Sexpo is not only about sex, but a range of continually broadening exhibitor base ranging from aviation, wine tasting, marine sports, spa pools, hair and make up artists, physical fitness equipment and even car rentals.

Luxury car rentals

One hall was full of product demonstrations by companies selling non-sex-related products while the other hall features sex-related products such as adult toys and strip clubs. Most strip club booths provide a free live preview of what you could expect.

The other interesting sex-related (partly) product was the penile painting, basically a man drawing your portrait picture with his penis.

Besides all the exhibition and product demonstrations, there were also on-going stage shows that range from fashion shows to male and female strip show by both paid and amateur performers.

And if you are looking for some amusement ride, the Sex Train is a ride similar to what one could see at Luna Park or any similar amusement park, but featuring several sex related scenes inside.

Besides Sydney, Sexpo is also held in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne annually.

AU2007 - Fraser Island 4WD: Day 5 & 6 (Post Tour)

day 5

Today is pretty much our sleeping-in day after the tiring 3 days of 4WD. With the rainy and windy weather for the whole day, all we did was sleep, sleep and sleep. We also had to start packing for our flight home the day after.

day 6

On our day of departure back to Sydney, we were lucky that the stormy weather was now gone. We arrived at the airport earlier to take a few pictures …

The interesting thing about this airport is every plane that lands here need to do a quick U-turn at the end of the runway, as shown in the aerial view below (The wider part at the end is used for U-turns).

AU2007 - Fraser Island 4WD: Day 4

After half of the tour group left us, there’s only six of us left in the tour for a relaxed day visiting a few of Fraser’s lesser known treasures. First we passed by the blackbutt tree, with natural formations that look like a dragon on the branch and a face at the trunk.

Then, we proceed to Lake Wabby, Fraser’s deepest lake and a favourite swimming hole. Lake Wabby is an impressive and beautiful emerald green barrage lake that is being slowly engulfed by Hammerstone Sandblow.

Lake Wabby

While walking to Lake Wabby, we trekked through Hammerstone Sandblow, one of Fraser’s vast desert-like sand blows. No wonder Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island!!

Hammerstone Sandblow

Exiting the sandblow, we arrived at the seventy-five mile beach again where our ranger-guide was waiting for us. We head on to Eurong Beach Resort for lunch where we managed to spot another dingo along our way.

Dingo!!

After lunch, we visited our last destination on the island, Lake Birrabean. Similarly to Lake McKenzie, Lake Birrabean is filled with sparkling clear waters and dazzling white beaches, except for the crowd.

Our tour ended and returned to Kingfisher Bay Resort…
